Medical weight loss is the process of losing weight with the help and guidance of a healthcare professional. The Bella Glow Med Spa providers will use a multidisciplinary approach to help you achieve and maintain your goals. Bella Glow Med Spa offers weight loss injections, including Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. Along the way, guidance on how to create healthy, sustainable habits will be provided. Monthly check-ins (or more often if requested) will be used to review diet, exercise, and other modalities to create healthy, sustainable habits.  

Although Semaglutide and Tirzepatide share the common goal of weight reduction, their distinctive mechanisms of action and clinical profiles set them apart. Semaglutide predominantly activates GLP-1 receptors, while Tirzepatide takes a versatile approach by engaging both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. 

Semaglutide operates by imitating glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a hormone that regulates appetite and affects various bodily processes. By targeting the appetite-regulating area of the brain, semaglutide acts as a potent appetite suppressant. It also enhances insulin production and inhibits glucagon production, a hormone that raises blood sugar levels. Additionally, semaglutide produces several physiological effects, such as delaying stomach emptying, reducing gastrointestinal muscle contractions, and lowering blood sugar levels. It also stimulates insulin secretion by the pancreas.

Tirzepatide acts as a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It takes a multifaceted approach to targeting various hormone receptors. 

Both medications have benefits, including weight management, glucose control, and cardiovascular health. They are given as once-weekly injections.

Medical weight loss injections, such as tirzepatide and semaglutide work to control appetite and improve metabolic health, making them suitable options for obese or diabetic patients. Semaglutide and tirzepatide belong to a class of medications called GLP-1 Agonists. “Skinny Shots” on the other hand are a blend of vitamins and lipotropic compounds that aim to boost natural fat metabolism.

”Skinny Shots” can be done on their own or as an adjunct to medical weight loss injections. ”Skinny Shots“ are given 1-2 times per week. Duration varies. “Skinny Shots” are $25 per injection. 

Every program participant will start with an initial consultation with a provider to thoroughly review their medical history to determine if they are an appropriate candidate.
